Hajral yahud bhasma is a classical Ayurvedic formulation in powder form. This is also known as Ber Patthar Bhasma, Sange Yahud Bhasma, Badarashma Bhasma, or calcined lime silicate. This bhasma is made from Hajral Yahud, a type of fossilized stone. Another ingredient is Moolak swaras, juice or swaras of Raphanus sativus, commonly known as Muli or radish.
Properties
It balances all the 3 doshas.
- Rasa - Katu (Pungent), Tikta (Bitter)
- Guna - Laghu (light)
- Virya - Ushna (hot)
- Vipaka - Katu (Pungent)
Dosage
- In Adults: 250 - 500 mg, once or twice daily with lukewarm water, before or after a meal.
- In Children: 125 - 250 mg, once or twice a day, before or after a meal, with lukewarm water or as directed by an Ayurvedic physician.
Anupan (Adjuvants): Coconut water, Ashmarinashak kwath, Gokshuradi kwath, Punarnavasava.
