चन्दनं बालकं मुस्तं गम्भारीं नीलमुत्पलम् ।
प्रियङ्गु पद्मकं लोधं मंजिष्ठां रक्तचन्दनम् ।।

पाठां किराततिक्तं च न्यग्रोधं पिप्पलीं शठीम् ।
पर्पटं मधुकं रास्नां पटोलं कांचनारकम् ।।

आम्रत्वचं मोचरसं प्रत्येकं पलमात्रकम् ।
धातकीं षोडशपलां द्राक्षायाः पलविंशतिम् ।।

जलद्रोणद्वये क्षिप्त्वा शर्करायास्तुलां तथा।
गुडस्यार्धतुलां चापि मासं भाण्डे निधापयेत् ।।

चन्दनासव इत्येष शुक्रमेहविनाशनः ।
बलपुष्टिकरो हृद्योः बन्हिसंदीपनः परः ।।

Chandanasav is a herbal formulation in liquid form. In this formulation, Chandan is the main ingredient that has cold potency and is useful in pitta-related problems as it relieves excess body heat. This formulation contains 5-10% of self-generated alcohol. It can improve strength and digestive power. This Asava preparation combats several infection-causing pathogens and microbes due to its antibacterial, antilithiatic, diuretic, antioxidant, antiulcerogenic properties. It pacifies Pitta dosha.
