Shankh Bhasma is made from the conch shell or Shankha. The conch shell is carefully cleaned and purified before being turned into ash through a heating process. In simple words, the calcination process involves heating the conch shell at very hot temperatures. This creates ash, which is then used to make Shankh Bhasma through additional processing.
