Pulmonic Drops

Respiratory disease is a medical term that encompasses pathological conditions affecting the organs and tissues that make gas exchange possible in higher organisms and includes conditions of the upper respiratory tract, trachea, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli, pleura and pleural cavity besides the nerves and muscles of breathing. The common symptoms of a lung disorder are breathing problems, chest pain, persistent cough or coughing of blood with adventitious sounds in chest.

Composition

Acidum picricum 6x, Bryonia alba 4x, Dulcamara 4x, Ferrum phosphoricum 8x, Kali carbonicum 8x, Lycopodium clavatum 4x, Sepia 20x & Silicea 8x.

Indications

Helps relieve cough besides relieving general weakness, lassitude, pain in shoulders & nocturnal perspiration associated with lung disorders like Bronchitis, Bronchial Asthma, Pneumonia.

Dosage

10-15 drops in some water, 3 times daily before meals. In acute cases the same dose is to be taken every 2 hourly 6 times a day or as prescribed by the physician.

Action of Ingredients

• Acid. picricum- Lassitude and burning pains in and between the scapulae. Great weakness. Tired, heavy feeling all over body, especially limbs. Worse exertion. Worn out person mentally & physically. Tightness of chest, as if encircled by a band.
• Bryonia alba- Soreness in larynx and trachea. Hoarseness; worse in open air. Dry, hacking cough from irritation in upper trachea. Heaviness beneath the sternum extending towards the right shoulder.
• Dulcamara- Cough worse cold, wet weather with free expectoration, tickling in larynx. Cough, hoarse, spasmodic, aggravated after physical exertion, in the back. Loose, rattling cough, worse wet weather.
• Ferrum phos.- Bronchitis of young children. In acute exacerbation of Tuberculosis, a fine palliative of wonderful power. First stage of all inflammatory affections. Especially for catarrhal affections of the respiratory tract. Congestions of lungs.
• Kali. carb.- Dry, hard cough about 3 am with stitching pains and dryness of pharynx. Bronchitis. Pneumonia. Hydrothorax. Pleurisy. Asthmatic, wheezing, worse least motion or walking, alternating with diarrhoea with vertigo. Leaning forward relieves chest symptoms. Tendency to Tuberculosis.
• Lycopodium clavatum- Neglected Pneumonia with great dyspnoea, flaying of alae nasae and presence of mucous rales. Night cough, tickling as from sulphur fumes. Catarrh of the chest in infants, seems full of mucus rattling. Abscess of lungs. Tuberculosis.
• Sepia- Stasis and thereby ptosis of viscera, weariness and misery. Weakness, yellow complexion, bearing-down sensation, especially in women, upon whose organism it has most pronounced effect.
• Silicea- Cough with expectoration in day, bloody or purulent. Violent cough when lying down, with thick, yellow lumpy expectoration; suppurative stage of expectoration.

• B43 in exhausting perspiration, especially nocturnal.
