Azadirachta or the Neem is widely used as a tonic, anti-septic, astringent and an anti-periodic remedy. Its action on fevers is well known and is especially useful in chronic fevers and in cases previously maltreated with quinine. Fever with or without chill starts from 4.30 pm and abates after 7.30 pm and there is burning in various parts of body, copious sweat on upper part of body starting from forehead, and no sweat on the lower parts.
It is indicated when there is marked weakness of memory. Patient makes mistakes in writing and spelling, forgets the names of familiar people or forgets what was done the previous day.
